Day 212: blissed out

A lot's been going on this past few weeks, and we've just been eating what we can, when we can, but I was so relieved to finally squeeze in just a few minutes of mindfulness in the kitchen yesterday for some much-needed downtime. One bite into this succulent sarnie and my entire body collapsed into the stool and my elbows onto the table: Day 212 is Nigella’s Mushroom Steak Sandwich.

I also focused on nothing but the pure pleasure present throughout the entire eating experience, so I consider that another few minutes of mindfulness achieved, too. I was totally blissed out!

Already dreaming of the next one (and the addition of an anchovy - or two - chopped up and mixed into the butter).
